Session 1: Seminar on Education of Environment Protection

Since the 1990s, UNESCO launched in the global introduction of the "Population and Environment and Sustainable Development Project (EPD) .The world's EPD education is on the way while EPD education in Asian countries have also made considerable progress. Chinese leaders are concern about the development of EPD in China. On the 4^th of August, 2003, Premier Wen, Jiabao said on the EPD education that for the majority of citizens, especially young people, the environment, health and sustainable development of education is very necessary. This work should be associated with citizen’s moral education and the quality of student education, and which will be regular, and systematic. At the annual meeting held during the “Conference on Education of Environment Protection " is aimed at promoting EPD education in China and other Asian countries, and promoting  awareness of the environmental education and participation, raising environmental awareness and promoting the sustainable development of society.
