Toward a Cultured Fine Arts Curriculum

Abstract:

In accordance with the needs of times, the new Standard of Art Curriculum clearly advocates that art should be learned in the same way as the culture is. Furthermore we still need to reflect on how to show cultural qualities in the art education. By focusing on the concept and involution of culture, this article attempts to put forward the idea that culture, with the outlook of value as its core, is a means of existence for human beings, and the article also elaborates on the strategy of art education in the time of visual culture, which is aimed to give more advice to art teachers in implementing the new Standard of Art Curriculum.
