Initiated in 1987 by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEL) of the Macao Special

Administrative Region Government, the biennial International Youth Dance Festival has become one of the most outstanding international events in Macao. Among the dozens of countries and regions that have participated in the International Youth Dance Festival, you may find dozen of contries such as Estonia, Poland, the Philippines, South Korea, the Czech Republic, Canada, the United States, Malaysia, Mongolia, Portugal, Japan, Sweden, Sri Lanka, Slovenia, Turkey,Thailand, Brunei, New Zealand, Singapore, India, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and China etc. With more then 20 year’s efforts, the Festival has become a significantly important window for youth dance groups around the world to display their talents as well as to enhance mutual understanding, deepen bonds of friendship and promote a wonderful platform for cultural exchanges.

    Continuing from its past glory, the 12^th International Youth Dance Festival, organized by the

Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEL) of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, and co-organized by the Education Forum for Asia after its successful participation in 2008, will be held from July 2^nd to July 8^th in 2010.
