"Although the earthquake destroyed our school, our homes, and our entire county, it will not crush the spirit of our citizens nor the futures of our future generations. We will not surrender and our wills will be strong, because we have the support of you, our national and international friends." One student, Yang Qin, from Beichuan Middle School expressed their concern for those affected by the quake, their gratitude for the love and care of all those who helped them through these troublesome and trying times, and rather than simply having a few students represent the entire school body, they all worked together to compile a book entitled "Students Chant for Love Around Beichuan"about their experiences and reflections on the experience of watching their school and community collapse around them. The unique gift was presented to the Director of the European Business Counsel, Zui Hong, European Parliament Representative, Gui Lin, and CEO of the American based ILF Mrs. Chiling Tong. The book is a compilation of the experiences and reflections of the teachers and students of Beichuan Middle School during the earthquake and all proceeds from the sale of the book will go directly into rebuilding the school and lives of the people affected.
