Culture Programme Specialist
Beatrice Kaldun has an academic background in Chinese Studies, Art History and Anthropology and holds a Master of Arts in these disciplines from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (1994), Munich, Germany. She also read Chinese Studies at Cambridge University as an undergraduate. Following her studies, she worked with TUI International as a tour manager in China and as research assistant at the Palace Museum in Taipei. Beatrice joined UNESCO in 1995 as Associate Expert in Culture under the regional Advisor for Culture in Asia and the Pacific at the UNESCO Office Bangkok, where she developed the regional culture program, with particular focus on world heritage, tourism, intangible heritage, arts and crafts, creativity and development. From 1997 to 2004 Beatrice continued her work at the UNESCO Office Bangkok as a consultant. She helped coordinate a number of projects and programs such as the Seal of Excellent for Handicraft Products in Asia. She joined UNESCO Office Beijing in October 2004 as Culture Program Specialist where she is now responsible for the culture program for the East Asia Cluster.
Beatrice Kaldun 1994 年本科毕业于德国慕尼黑大学,学习中国文化,艺术历史,和人类学方面的知识,之后于剑桥大学获得中国文化学学士学位。她曾任国际TUI组织驻华经理,和台北故宫博物院助理研究员。Beatrice 于1995年作为亚太文化咨询处协理专家加入联合国教科文组织曼谷办公室,任职期间,她开展了地区活动项目。对于世界文化遗产,旅游,非物质文化遗产,手工艺品,创造力和发展尤为关注。1997-2004,任曼谷联合国教科文组织曼谷办公室顾问,她负责协办了很多的项目和工程,如:亚洲优秀手工玉制品展览。她于2004年10月作为文化项目专家加入联合国教科文组织北京办事处,主要负责东亚文化群项目。
